But for millions around the world, that’s not the reality. Earth_Icon 50% of people across the globe lack access to essential health care. maternal_icon 99% of maternal deaths happen in developing countries. Asset 25 Each day, 15,000 children die before reaching their fifth birthday. What Drives Us WHY WE DO THE WORK Partners In Health is a social justice organization driven by the uncompromising belief that everyone, especially those most in need, deserves the right to health care. HOW WE DO IT Partners In Health treats patients and trains the next generation of local health care workers in some of the most remote and marginalized communities around the world. We then use what we’ve learned at the grassroots level to influence global health policy so that our model of innovative care can be replicated all around the world. OUR UNIQUE APPROACH We partner with local governments and make open-ended commitments to countries to help them build strong public health systems. We don’t accept “no” for an answer, and know—emotionally and empirically—that the world’s injustices have cures. No matter who they are or where they’re from, everyone deserves a fighting chance at life. How We Cure Injustices Meet Fanta When Fanta found out she was pregnant, she feared the worst. PIH helped her deliver safely. 65,000 safe births globally in 2018 Read More Maternal Health Meet Lovenyou 1 in 5 children in Haiti is starving.
